Cosori Air Fryer Recall: Over 2 Million Affected in US, Canada, and Mexico

Cosori, a popular air fryer brand owned by Atekcity Corporation, is recalling several of its models due to fire and burn hazards[0] The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a recall notice for over 2 million air fryers across the US, Canada, and Mexico, and consumers are urged to immediately stop using the affected models[1][0]

The CSPC reports that a wire connection in the air fryers can overheat, posing a fire and burn hazard[0] Reports of the air fryers catching fire, burning, melting, overheating, and smoking have been received, resulting in 10 minor burn injuries and 23 minor property damage incidents[0] The affected air fryers include the CP158-AF, CP158-AF-R19, CP158-AF-RXW, CP158-AF-RXR, CAF-P581-BUSR, CAF-P581-AUSR, CAF-P581-RUSR, CP137-AF, CP137-AF-RXB, CP137-AF-RXR, CP137-AF-RXW, CS158-AF, CS158-AF-RXB, CS158-AF-R19, CAF-P581S-BUSR, CAF-P581S-RUSR, CAF-P581S-AUSR, CO137-AF, CO158-AF, CO158-AF-RXB, and CP258-AF[0] The units are 3[0]7 to 5[0]8 qt[0] in size and were sold in black, gray, white, blue, and red colors[3][0]

The recalled air fryers were sold from June 2018 through December 2022 for between $70 and $130 at Best Buy, Target, and Home Depot stores nationwide, and online at Amazon, Adorama, Bed Bath & Beyond, Cosori, eBay, Home Goods, Kohls, Lowes, Macys, QVC, Staples, VeSync, Walmart, Wayfair, Wellbots, and Woot![4][0]
